What to Make of Tab Trade - Launched March 2026, Here Is the Deal
The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background tells you something. It means the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a broker that launched in March 2026, the breadth is not narrow.
What You Trade On
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be in the works. That should be a good addition once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for beginners.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at a much wider range.
Should you care? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. The point is the setup is serious. That says something about priorities.
Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get holds up. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.
Safety
This is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It should factor into your assessment.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Standard deposit match. You deposit, TabTrade top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you commit.
